Effects of LJ100® on Sexual Performance & Well-Being in Men with Reduced Sexual Potency *

In a study published in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine (2014), 26 men with mild erectile dysfunction were given 200mg of LJ100® or a placebo for 12 weeks. The LJ100® group demonstrated statistically higher scores than the placebo group in these endpoints: Erection Hardness Scale score improved by 39%, Aging Males’ Symptoms (AMS) scores improved by 24%, and Sexual Health Inventory for Men improved by 26%. These results suggest LJ100®, as a daily supplement, can improve sexual performance and satisfaction. The latter, when achieved, can also elevate quality of life. ¹



Efficacy Findings from LJ100® Sport Nutrition Clinical Trials:

Effects of LJ100® on Anabolic Balance during Endurance Exercise *

In another study, 30 male subjects were recruited from a mountain biking event. 15 were given 100mg of LJ100®, and 15 were given a placebo. Saliva samples were collected before and after each lap. Subjects completed 4 laps and provided 8 samples over 24 hours to measure cortisol and testosterone by enzyme immunoassay. ² Cortisol levels were 32.3% lower in the LJ100® group than the placebo group (0.552+0.665 vs. 0.816+0.775 ug/dl, P<0.05). Testosterone levels were also 16.4% higher in the LJ100® group than the placebo group (86.72+40.90 vs. 72.47+33.77 pg/ml, P<0.05).




Effects of Strength Training & LJ100® Supplementation on Strength and Muscle Size in Middle-Aged Women*

A double blind, randomized study with 31 women, ages 45-59, were given 100mg of LJ100® (n=17) or a placebo (n=14) for 12 weeks. Improvements were observed in bench press (67% vs. 58%), leg press (33% vs. 27%), balance (0.39 vs. 0.31), hand grip strength (0.71 vs. 0.43), muscular endurance (0.64 vs. 0.35), and rectus femurs cross-sectional (0.59 vs. 0.31). These results indicate LJ100® supplementation enhances hand grip strength and muscle gain in middle-age women during strength training circuits. ³



Effects of LJ100® on Stress Hormones & Psychological State in Moderately Stressed Subjects *

In a study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition (2013), 32 men and 31 women with moderate stress levels took 200mg of LJ100® or a placebo for 4 weeks. The LJ100® group showed more improvements in tension (−11%), anger (−12%), and confusion (−15%) than the placebo group. The LJ100® group also demonstrated Stress Hormone Profile (salivary cortisol and testosterone) improvements, with reduced cortisol (−16%) and increased testosterone (+37%). ⁷ These results indicate LJ100® has potential for restoring hormone balance (cortisol/testosterone) and enhancing psychological mood state in people exposed to aging, dieting, exercise strain and other stressors.⁴
